Valerie Taylor-Walker Hypnotherapy

Valerie Taylor-Walker
Hypnotherapist in London

I am married and have 3 grown up children. My eldest daughter is a doctor working in Australia, my other daughter has complex medical needs and lives in Devon with her husband and my youngest, a son, has recently qualified as a doctor.

Having been a carer since the age of 15, for my father who had Parkinson's Disease, my daughter who has special needs and my elderly mother following 3 strokes and sepsis, I am personally aware of the serious negative impact that stress and chronic ill health or pain can have on your physical and mental well being. I am also deeply aware of the frustrations and challenges in trying to get the help that you need and at the time you need it. Life at times can seem to be one long and continuous battle. Hypnotherapy has helped me to stop that negative self talk, sleep better and cope with the often overwhelming demands of everyday life,

My Specialisms

Whilst I work with a wide range of conditions, my main specialism is anxiety, as I believe stress and anxiety underlies most mental and physical conditions and if it doesn't cause the condition it can certainly aggravate it or prolong recovery.

I particularly enjoy working with clients suffering with IBS and those who want to stop smoking.

Hypnotherapy is a fast and effective tool which should leave you feeling completely refreshed and positive at the end of each session. Change can happen immediately or in the days or weeks to follow or may be so subtle that you don't notice straight away.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or perhaps suffering from chronic pain, want to stop an unwanted habit or make some changes in your life, then please give me a call, if only for a brief chat to see if you think hypnotherapy is the way forward.

Approach to Hypnotherapy & How I Work

You will find that I am friendly, approachable, non-judgemental and completely committed to working with you to help you make the positive changes you want and lead a happier and healthier life.

Additional Rate Information

Please note, I charge per session and not by the hour, so if the session goes on a little longer, there will be no extra charge. The first session is usually approximately 75 minutes and sessions following that may be shorter, approximately 50-60 minutes, Hypnotherapy is a fast and effective therapy and the number of sessions depends on various factors, including the complexity of the issue. I usually recommend a minimum of 2 sessions, 3 - 4 sessions seems to be the average amount for most problems, with 6 sessions over 12 weeks being the recommended number for IBS. There is no commitment to a fixed number of sessions
