I obtained my master's degree in psychology from the University of Riga, Latvia in 2011. Since then, I've worked extensively with elderly clients experiencing mental health issues, including dementia. My 15 years of experience, combined with my educational background, allow me to approach each client with empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the human condition.
My expertise spans a wide range of mental health concerns, including loss, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic abuse, personality disorders, and alcohol-related issues within families. I'm passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, cope with life's challenges, and improve their overall well-being.
During our sessions, I utilize an accepting, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach. We'll start by discussing a specific issue or concern that has brought you to counselling, exploring it from multiple angles to find effective solutions. Depending on your needs, I may draw from various evidence-based techniques, such as psychodynamic, humanistic, or cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Depending on your unique needs, I may also incorporate techniques from different modalities. My aim is to create a tailored treatment plan that empowers you to overcome the challenges you're facing. Whether you're struggling with loss, stress, mental health concerns, or relationship difficulties, I'm here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore and find solutions. Together, we'll work collaboratively to help you develop the insights and coping strategies you need to thrive. Please don't hesitate to reach out to schedule your initial consultation. I look forward to supporting you on your journey towards greater well-being.
