When we keep things locked up inside.... that's where they stay.
We often worry about things that haven't .... and may not happen.
The way to solve problems... is to live a life in a way that makes them disappear.
Coming to therapy can be an enlightening process of discovery.

You may be feeling down, nothing left, wretched, sad or worried about something, you may be hoping to make changes in behaviour. Looking for reasons and meaning, feeling unfulfilled, unproductive, trapped or alienated from work, family and friends. You may feel you are unraveling. Perhaps you are looking for counselling for something specific such as Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Relationships, Bereavement and loss, Self esteem and confidence, Alcohol and Addiction and/or you may be looking for longer term psychotherapy.

Often the two, Counselling and Psychotherapy, go hand in hand.

I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist in clinical settings since 2001 and Private Practice since 2005. BACP Accredited in 2006, BACP Senior Accredited in 2012 and working as a Consultant and Clinical Supervisor since 2005.

I offer face to face counselling/psychotherapy sessions to individuals, couples and families. I work with adults, teenagers and in some circumstances children.

To fit in with your busy schedules, telephone and/or Skype sessions are also possible.
I also am able to work with a Philosophy and Egan based personal coaching model.

My main practice is set in comfortable and secure consultation rooms accessed by entry phone systems in Balham (Bedford Hill)
Please see photograph of consultation room below.

Sessions are 50-minutes in length and are usually weekly.
Twice weekly and fortnightly sessions are also possible and I can offer flexible appointments to fit in with your changing schedule.
I provide appointments in the daytime, evening and some Saturdays.

During your first appointment we can discuss what brings you to counselling, what's troubling you and on your mind. Then we can discuss what you are looking for and how to develop a bespoke way of working that integrates and blends appropriate useful therapeutic approaches that best fit you.

Perhaps you feel like you are unraveling, things are disintegrating, find yourself over worrying, feeling low, or maybe you are feeling unfulfilled, unproductive, discontent or maybe trapped in a corner.
Then we can find the best way to cope in the 'here-and-now' and we can explore how you got there and where you are going.

If appropriate, I am able to use hypnotherapeutic tools involving grounding and relaxation exercises alongside guided and/or creative visualisation techniques.

I am able to utilise Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR) techniques and tools if required.

If required we can integrate an Egan model of achieving change through coaching in a personal consultation context.
