I am a Clinical Health Psychologist (HCPC registered: PYL36713) providing compassionate, evidence-based psychological treatment for people struggling with sleep difficulties. I understand the complex interactions between sleep, mental and physical health, the importance of specialist assessment and personalised interventions. I work across the spectrum of sleep difficulties and adapt my approach as required. People often come to therapy with feelings of helplessness, and hope for change. My role is to support clients to rediscover restful sleep. Good sleep means an increased sense of wellbeing, better health outcomes and quality of life, improved mental function and more satisfying relationships.

Approach to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & How I Work

I use a variety of therapeutic models to meet individual needs, including CBT-I, ACT and CFT. I practise Mindfulness and offer this as part of a sleep intervention.
I offer a comprehensive initial assessment and report with initial recommendations. For many clients significant progress follows two or three further therapy appointments. Other clients have more complicated and long-standing difficulties which require a greater commitment to therapy.

Additional Rate Information

Please note the initial assessment process is £240. Theis involves an online assessment 1h 15 mins , plus a review of medical/health information relevant to sleep disorder, sleep diaries and questionnaires. I provide a summary of the assessment (which can also go to the GP), initial recommendations and resources. For many clients significant improvements to sleep can follow the implementation of specialist recommendations with two or three follow up therapy appointments. For clients with longer standing and/or more complex difficulties a greater commitment to therapy may be needed. I also offer limited face to face appointments for clients based in Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset.
