Approach to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & How I Work

I take a person-centred and compassionate approach to therapy. My sessions are all about collaboration. We work together, as a team, to help you find new ways to move forward, overcome challenges, and realise your potential. To achieve this, I utilise Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT). This explores the how you think, feel, and behave and the links between them. It is an active form of therapy that looks at making changes and learning tools to address difficulties you are experiencing.

I take a formulation-driven approach towards CBT. This means we work together to develop an understanding of your problem(s), how all the symptoms and difficulties it causes link together, and the causes of the problem. We can then use this formulation as a roadmap to guide treatment and help target the key areas to help you move forward.
