Kelly French
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in Peterborough

Hello, my name is Kelly, from Kibo Counselling. I am close to the City Centre in Peterborough and I have a practice in Oundle.

You have taken the first step by coming here today and acknowledging that you may need some support in the form of therapy. Do you feeling anxious or depressed? Maybe you are thinking that things are not how you wish them to be. Do you want to make changes but don't know how. Everyone will face internal conflict at some point in their lives and together we can explore what's troubling you and work towards finding new ways of coping.

Counselling is a journey of self-discovery and improved self-awareness. As a counsellor I know how hard it is to make these changes and I am here to help support you on your journey. I offer you a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space to explore your feelings.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and how I can help you.

Approach to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & How I Work

I work from a Person-Centred Pluralistic approach. Person-centred involves creating a safe, empathic non-judgmental environment for you to explore your feelings and experiences openly. Pluralism acknowledges that no single therapeutic model fits all clients. It consists of drawing from multiple modalities based on your goals and issues, enabling a flexible and adaptable approach to therapy. I will often draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness and Brief solution Focussed therapy approaches.
