Approach to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & How I Work

I take an integrative approach to counselling, combining different therapeutic techniques to tailor sessions to each client's unique needs. My foundation is in person-centred counselling, where I provide a safe and empathetic space for clients to feel heard and valued.

As a trainee in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I also incorporate CBT techniques into my work, helping clients understand how their thoughts influence emotions and behaviours. I believe in a collaborative, flexible, and holistic approach that empowers clients to develop meaningful change, emotional resilience, and greater self-awareness.

I offer online and telephone counselling, making it convenient for clients, including shift workers, to access support.

I am flexible with my availability to meet the needs of clients.

I provide concessions, and I encourage potential clients to contact me directly to discuss options.

To ensure clients feel confident and prepared, I offer a free 15-minute call to address any questions or concerns before starting sessions.

Prior to our first session, I will share the counselling contract and client forms via email for completion, so everything is in place before our work together begins.
