Helen McLaughlin
Counsellor in Warwick

Do you want to (re)discover yourself? Perhaps you've grown up with or experienced spaces with values different to your own? Perhaps a change in your life has you re-evaluating how you live your life? Perhaps you understand yourself or your identity in a new way? I aim to create a space together where you feel safe, valued and trusted to explore any thoughts, feelings and experiences, to connect with who you are and your voice and to discover what's right for you, based on your experience of what it's like to be you. Welcome, I'm Helen, most people call me Hallie. I offer weekly one-to-one sessions to adults 18+ in the UK via Zoom.

I appreciate a safe space can mean something different to all of us. I won't dismantle any walls, I will work together with you to explore what you want to get from sessions at your own pace. I'm here to meet you where you are with empathy and will honour your thoughts, feelings and experiences, and what they mean to you. You're welcome here just as you are.

I appreciate your experience as an individual, as well as the role that society can have. I'm a warm, inclusive person and trainee psychotherapist in the process of completing the final research project for my MSc in Person-centred and Experiential Psychotherapy. I'm a trainee member of UKCP with over 300 hours and 3 years' experience working with clients.

I offer weekly one-to-one sessions via Zoom on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday daytimes. To enquire about booking in a free 15 minute introduction video call or 60 minute initial session at £15, please send an email or text and we can arrange a time. I aim to respond to all messages within 48 hours on weekdays.

Thank you for considering whether I might be somebody who could support you. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Approach to Counselling & How I Work

Some examples of ways person-centred and experiential therapy could support you are in developing self-awareness, exploring your relationship with yourself and others, listening to and trusting yourself, developing compassion for yourself and your experiences, understanding patterns you're noticing in your life and recognising your needs, strengths and values.
