The difficulties we face in life are very varied: we may struggle with relationships, have problems with anger or depression or our eating habits, with our sexuality or personal identity, or just to find meaning in life. Feelings of failure and frustration, bitterness or jealousy, inadequacy or lack of self-esteem can either stem from some particular sitution or issue we are experiencing now - or be part of a longer history and larger pattern of how our life has unfolded. Psychotherapy can help sort out some of this stuff: I have found that an attentive listening to and responding to these kinds of problems can make a significant difference to people's lives.
It is hard to deal with emotional problems and difficulties by oneself. By entering into an in-depth conversation with you, taking things as they come and at your pace, I hope to be able to offer both insight and support. An exploration of both conscious and unconscious thoughts and feelings within a psychotherapeutic relationship offers a special framework for personal growth and change and can lead, over time, to a new sense of oneself and a renewed sense of well-being.
