I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate and professional insurance.
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and my continuous professional development is focused on the subject of autism. In a few months' time I will be starting a Postgraduate Certificate Autism at Sheffield Hallam University.
I specialise in supporting autistic adults with all aspects of navigating life.
Have you had enough of things being difficult? Well, they really don't need to be. I strongly believe autism is a cognitive difference and not an impairment.
Start with strengths and see possibilities, start with struggles and see limitations...
I really do understand how it feels to never quite fit in, to struggle to express yourself, to be constantly on edge and to be so very tired of it all. You are not alone...
I help you to:
-discover your genuine self
-manage emotions
-negotiate fulfilling relationships
-thrive at work
Together we explore the issues that are bothering you and talk through what you would like the reality to be like instead. We will consider your strengths and what tangible changes you can make right now to get closer to that outcome you envisaged.
You will likely find that as you gradually regain resourcefulness, creativity and autonomy, a great deal of negative experiences subsides. You start to feel better...
Previous clients said they had found the sessions beneficial and walked away with renewed hope.
