Individuals
Together we set objectives according to what is appropriate to you. The counselling session is your time and space to talk about whatever you find difficult. My role is to focus on what you are feeling about your life and what you want to get out of it. We identify the gap between what you want and what you have now. I support you to work out your own solutions rather than telling you what to do because, although you may find it hard to believe at the moment, I believe you are the expert on your own life.
Couples
We decide together on what our counselling objectives are then concentrate on certain crucial areas -
* how you communicate with each other
* what expectations and ideals you have brought into the relationship from your own family and/or from previous relationships
* how your experience as a couple has shaped you so far.
* the role of your intimate physical relations in the larger relationship
* how safe you believe you are in your relationship
* the effect having children may have on your relationship, and their safety.
