I am Director of the Harley Street Online Therapy Centre, Honorary Fellow of The Association for Counselling & Therapy Online and former Principal of The Academy for Online Therapy. I have also written extensively about working online as a therapist and supervisor. Being in these roles has really helped me to keep up to date with working with clients in so many different ways, and I hope you'll want to come and benefit from my knowledge and experience, but ultimately it is about helping you find your way forward.
I have an MSc in Psychological Counselling for the University of Surrey, a Diploma in Online Therapy and a Diploma in Online Supervision, both from OLT, an ACTO approved online training provider.
I am an ACTO Level 3 Senior Professional Member and a qualified online supervisor offering online supervision both individually and in groups as well as providing therapy to individuals and LGBT couples.
I am author of Psychotherapy 2.0: Where Psychotherapy and Technology Meet.
Often a crisis brings people to therapy - a need to make a difficult decision, or not being able to cope with feelings or situations. Once we get past that first crisis, I like to think of therapy as growth rather than "treatment" so that you can learn more about yourself and develop new ways of being - so moving a way from the sticking plaster of six - ten weeks of sessions that are often offered and taking whatever time you need to develop into the person you want to be.
I have special interests in helping people sort out what they want out of live, coping with bereavement and issues around LGBT, including couple work.
Well done for taking the first step towards seeking help. For many this is the hardest part .... so you're nearly there! Here's a few questions that you might find helpful:
Does life feel like its getting on top of you?
Have you reached a turning turning in your life?
Could you benefit from a place to take some time-out?
Want to explore your thoughts and feelings?
Need to feel better about yourself?
Got an issue that's bothering you?
Feeling isolated but unable to travel?
Want to have therapy from the comfort of your own home?
Just feeling too low to function well?
These are may be some of the questions you're thinking about .... and if they fit then may be I'll hear from you.
