Since 2000, I have worked in various roles with adults, families and young people from a diversity of cultural and religious backgrounds, sexual orientations and ages. I completed a four-year postgraduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at WPF Therapy, gaining a BACP-accredited postgraduate diploma with distinction. I have been working as an adult psychotherapist since 2013, practising for several years within the WPF Therapy clinic in London, the NHS and private practice, and I am actively engaged in and committed to ongoing professional development.
I am a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC reg. 21288), The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC; graduate body of WPF Therapy) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP reg. 2011169315).
I am clinically experienced working with a broad range of issues including childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, family crisis, relationship difficulties, divorce and separation, post-natal depression, parenting difficulties, adolescence and transitions, loss and bereavement.
I write further about my approach as a psychodynamic psychotherapist here on my blog: https://www.swpsychotherapy.co.uk/blog/about-psychotherapy
