My early career was in teaching creative dance, after graduating from the University of London in 1979 with a degree in education.
I have been in private practice as a therapist in Cheltenham since 1989, having qualified in massage with advanced training in acupressure, and subsequently in craniosacral therapy (2004). I completed four years' intensive training in process-oriented psychology (Process Work) in 2012.
I have postgraduate training in trauma work with leading teachers including Peter Levine and Babette Rothschild.
I served as deputy editor of the professional journal 'The Fulcrum' for nine years and was a member of the teaching team at the Istituto di Formazione Craniosacrale in Italy from 2004 to 2006.
I specialise in relieving painful conditions such as persistent headaches, migraine and long-running back problems.
Longer-term recovery is often possible, through unfolding the deeper processes at work, such as old physical injuries, anxiety, shock or emotional trauma.
I offer a specialised programme for migraine sufferers who want to break the cycle of pain through natural methods.
I help people who are feeling exhausted and disconnected from the joy in life because of debilitating, painful conditions.
I help them to not only have more energy and less pain, but also to uncover inner strengths and resources they didn't know they had.
Stubborn, chronic conditions have a story to tell about what really needs to heal.
By paying compassionate attention to what your body is trying to tell you, you can release long-held pain, heal old hurts and tensions, reconnect to lost parts of yourself, and open the way for your true potential to emerge.
