After having experience in the benefits that seeing a counsellor can have on a person and the rising demand for services around mental health, I have decided to undertake training to become a qualified counsellor.
I have a lot of lived experience in dealing with children who live with Type 1 Diabetes and volunteering within a family group for a charity relating to this, alongside my own passion for helping women improve their sense of community and wellbeing, through a positive mindset and personal growth.
The qualification I hold are
West College Scotland
TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (RQF)
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills
COSCO Level 8 in Counselling Skills - currently studying
Centre of Excellence
EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique Diploma
Journal Therapy Diploma
Women's Circle Diploma
I am relatively new to practising and I have completed work so far with women from my women's circle and teens in both EFT and Journal Therapy focusing around anxiety, stress, goal setting and organisation.
My approach to work would be person centred and led by the client and what they would like to achieve from the sessions.
I would offer at home visits with the client for their own comfort preferably but can also offer online if needs be and am available most evenings after 5.30 pm
