Pete Luce
Hypnotherapist in Exeter

Hi I'm Pete Luce, a highly-experienced hypnotherapist working in Exeter Devon, about 12 minutes walk from the Cathedral. I've been in practice since 1994 so I'm one of Devon's most experienced hypnotherapists. I mainly specialise in helping people to overcome phobia and anxiety, but over the years I've also helped people overcome a very wide variety of other problems, so please contact me if you're wondering if I can help with your particular issues.

Background & Hypnotherapy Qualifications

My first career was in nursing, qualifying in "Adult Nursing" (caring for physically ill patients) in 1979 and as a mental nurse in 1982. I remained fulltime in mental nursing in London till 1994 when I began my second career as a hypnotherapist. For several years I managed a very busy acute admissions ward in inner London, later I was a community mental health nurse involved in one of the first NHS Crisis Intervention Teams and one of the first NHS walk-in counselling services.
My original hypnotherapy training was with the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, this is classed as a full psychotherapy training. I've since done further training with experts from the UK and America.

Approach to Hypnotherapy & How I Work

I take an individualised approach to every client, because no two human beings are the same. I do not use scripts, because I adapt my hypnotic methods to each new client for the best possible result. Wherever possible I use scientifically-based methods. I aim to work as rapidly as possible. I see a lot of people who have not benefited from therapy they've had previously.
