Jan Bugar
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner in Worthing

I'm a dedicated sports massage therapist and the owner of Zen Den Worthing, where I help people feel better through personalized massage treatments.

What I love most about running Zen Den Worthing is seeing the difference massage can make — whether it's easing chronic pain, supporting injury recovery, or simply creating a sense of calm and wellbeing. I take pride in creating a peaceful environment where each session is tailored to individual needs, blending skill and intuition to help clients move, feel, and live better.

Background & Manual Lymphatic Drainage Qualifications

In 2021, I decided to pursue formal training and earned a Sports Massage Diploma Level 3 and Remedial Massage Diplomas Levels 4 and 5. These qualifications gave me the knowledge and skills to help people manage pain, recover from injuries, and improve their overall wellbeing.

At Zen Den Worthing, I specialize in a range of treatments, including sports massage, deep tissue massage, remedial massage, Swedish relaxation massage, myofascial release, and manual lymphatic drainage (MLD). Each session is tailored to suit individual needs, whether it's easing muscle tension, improving mobility, or simply creating a calm space for relaxation.

My Specialisms

Sports Massage — Ideal for athletes or anyone with sports-related injuries, helping with recovery, performance, and injury prevention.

Deep Tissue Massage — Targets deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to release chronic tension and pain.

Remedial Massage — Focuses on treating specific injuries, muscular dysfunction, and postural issues, tailored to each client's needs.

Swedish (Relaxation) Massage — A gentle, soothing massage that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and improves circulation.

Myofascial Release — Works on the fascia (connective tissue) to reduce pain, improve mobility, and release tension.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) — A gentle technique that supports the lymphatic system, reducing swelling and aiding post-surgery recovery.

These specialisms allow me to offer personalized treatments, whether clients need pain relief, injury recovery, or simply a calming space to relax.

Approach to Manual Lymphatic Drainage & How I Work

At Zen Den Worthing, I believe that massage therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution — every person's body is different, and so is their journey to wellness. My approach is cantered around understanding each client's unique needs, whether they're seeking pain relief, injury recovery, or a moment of relaxation.

From the moment someone walks through the door, I take the time to listen and assess what's going on with their body. I combine my knowledge of sports, deep tissue, remedial, and relaxation techniques to create a personalized treatment plan that targets their specific concerns. Whether it's easing muscle tension, improving mobility, or simply helping someone unwind, my goal is always to provide a treatment that feels right for them.
