I practise from an attachment-based psychoanalytic perspective, which recognises how early relational experiences—particularly with caregivers—shape our internal world, emotional life, and ways of relating to others. These patterns can persist unconsciously and may underlie present difficulties, even when they are no longer helpful.
My aim is to provide a consistent, non-judgemental, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable. I work relationally, paying attention not only to what is spoken but also to what is felt or remains unspoken in the therapeutic work.
I view psychotherapy as a collaborative and evolving process. Some clients come with specific issues or transitions they wish to navigate; others seek to understand longstanding relational or emotional difficulties. I work with both short-term and longer-term needs.
My clinical stance is trauma-informed and inclusive. I recognise the impact of trauma, marginalisation, and systemic factors on mental health and identity. I aim to support clients in developing greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
My approach is grounded in psychoanalytic thinking but remains responsive, reflective, and tailored to my clients. I hold the therapeutic relationship at the centre of the work, offering an attentive and attuned presence as we explore what emerges together.
