I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and continually expand my knowledge with trauma-focused training and CPD (Continuing Professional Development). My work is rooted in evidence-based approaches that support trauma recovery, and I am committed to providing therapy that is both effective and compassionate.
I have experience working with women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse, neglect, and rape, helping them process the lasting effects of trauma. My approach is informed by ongoing training in trauma therapy, dissociation, attachment wounds, and the complexities of healing after long-term or early-life trauma.
I work with women who have experienced:
- Childhood sexual abuse
- Neglect
- Rape and sexual violence
- Dissociation and trauma-related symptoms
- Flashbacks and intrusive memories
- Anxiety and hypervigilance
- Shame, guilt, and self-blame
- Difficulties with trust and relationships
- Feeling disconnected or emotionally numb
Trauma therapy can help you process these experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable, giving you tools to regulate emotions, rebuild trust, and feel more in control of your life.
Trauma therapy isn't just about techniques—it's about the relationship. Feeling safe, understood, and supported is the foundation of healing. I focus on building trust and stability first, helping you feel more grounded before exploring painful experiences.
When you're ready, we can gently process what has happened in a way that feels safe and manageable, without forcing you to relive the past. Over time, therapy shifts toward integration—reconnecting with yourself, rebuilding trust in others, and feeling more at ease in your life.
I work in a collaborative, trauma-informed way, drawing from attachment theory, polyvagal theory, mindfulness, and person-centred therapy. You set the pace, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and support as you reclaim a life that feels more like your own.
I offer sessions in Barrhead, Glasgow, as well as online.
