Psychotherapist in Hove

I am an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist registered with The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, (UKCP) and The Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association. (UPCA)

My approach Is warm and humane. Through engagement in psychotherapy I can help you overcome painful and distressing thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Clients seek help from me for many reasons, from feeling that life is literally unbearable to a vague sense of unease. Psychotherapy is not an academic exercise and often involves going into and experiencing powerful feelings with and sometimes in relation to your therapist. I will support and contain you in this process, working at a pace that is right for you. It's hard to get a flavour of this without trying it and different therapists will work for different people. You are very welcome to meet with me to see if you think I would be a good therapist for you.

Approach to Psychotherapy & How I Work

Hi I am a am experienced Psychotherapist registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

I work with Adults and Adolescents, (16-25).

I will work with you to create a space where you can explore your difficulties by carefully listening and talking with you to facilitate the unpicking of both the conscious and unconscious aspects of your experience. I will talk with you in an open and straightforward way, sharing my thoughts with you as you share yours with me. Through this we will both work to create a new sense of perspective on the issues bringing you to therapy. In a sense, the expert in the room is your unconscious, and we will work together to bring this to light. As in any relationship the therapeutic one can be many things, but it also seeks to help shine a light on how the patterns that get created in it, are reflected in those patterns you may also bring to their other relationships.
