Sarah Aldridge
Psychotherapist in London

Hello. I am a counsellor and psychotherapist supporting people with a range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety and relationship problems.
People come to therapy for different reasons including anxiety and depression, family difficulties and health related issues. Talking to a therapist in a safe, confidential space can allow difficulties to be thought about differently and begin to be resolved.

I have NHS, voluntary and private practice experience as a Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

Background & Psychotherapy Qualifications

I have experience of working with people struggling with relationship and family issues, abuse, health related issues, depression, anxiety and bereavement.

As well as having a private practice, I work as a caseworker and psychotherapist for the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and previously as counsellor for a cancer charity.
I am an accredited member of the BACP, have a diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and am also trained in brief work.

My Specialisms

I work with people who experience health anxiety, physical health problems as well as medically unexplained symptoms.

Approach to Psychotherapy & How I Work

I work either open-ended or short-term, with brief dynamic therapy. I work psychodynamically, which means us thinking and exploring together previous and current relationships and your early life to have a better understanding on current difficulties.
