I would like to tell you about my journey to where I am today. Back in 2005 I had my first introduction into holistic therapies. I was a Reiki Master training in the technique of massage, it was during this time I first heard of Bowen Therapy from my tutor, who advised me that if I had the opportunity of a Bowen treatment I should go along, because in her words "it is a wonderful gentle treatment, treating the whole body".

The opportunity came along and there I was signing up for the course and I have never looked back

In 2007 I became a Bowen Technician/Practitioner and added this wonderful treatment to the treatments offered. Since that time I have been increasing my professional development every year, to ensure the level of care given to my clients is of the highest standards.

I had suffered for many years with a problematic coccyx, meetings and seminars were very difficult for me, I found sitting in one position for a while excruciatingly painful. In my basic training I gave and received the Bowen Technique, I was delighted to see there was a procedure to help my problem. It eased but did not entirely go away. Now I had the desire to learn more and more. I continued my training with Post Graduate courses, followed up with Specialist Bowen Procedures 1 & 2, and there it was, a procedure that meant the end to my coccyx problem. Fantastic

BOWEN TECHNIQUE
What will Bowen consist of ?
During a Bowen Technique session the client would usually lie on a bed or table to ensure the clients comfort, or the client can be treated in a chair if necessary. With that in mind, Bowen Technique can be done anywhere; there are no limits to the location for treatment. The treatment can be carried out through light clothing or on skin, neither oils nor creams are used. The technique involves specific moves across tendons  and muscles using thumbs and fingers.
The aims of the moves are to stimulate energy flow, then releasing stresses, strains and blockages and trigger the body's own resources. There are frequent important pauses between sets of moves, which give the body time to benefit from each set. By selecting appropriate combinations and sequences of moves, the practitioner is able to address the body as a whole, and/or to target one or more specific problems.
The session usually lasts from 30-45 mins. 

CANINE BOWEN TECHNIQUE
The Canine Bowen Technique is a ‘light-touch' therapy offering dogs a gentle, it is non-invasive an effective hands-on technique which aims to promote healing, pain-relief and body/energy rebalancing.
We have had dogs in our family for as long as I can remember, from being a child right up to the present day. Dogs are a large part of our lives and I have seen on many occasions where Bowen Therapy has helped our own pets. One of our Lab's aged 8 has arthritis and she loves the benefits she has from a Bowen treatment and will happy come to me to treat her. One of the major principles of  (CBT) Formerly (EGCBT)- is that is intended to be totally holistic, In other words, it "treats the body as a whole, without referral to named disease".
(CBT) is not a substitute for proper veterinary care, and should be used in conjunction with orthodox veterinary treatment. Please discuss with your vet if you have any concerns.

Not only are they created by surgery they can be created from wounds, accidents, physical attacks,and many other traumas. The treatment is gentle, impactful and the treatment holds so the benefits last, this  wonderful  treatment is changing lives, it is truly remarkable. 

REIKI THERAPY
An Introduction
Reiki is a Japanese technique that promotes healing together with stress relief and relaxation.  It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and it is what causes us to be alive, it is given by "laying on hands".  If we feel sick or feel stress, it is more than likely one's "life force energy" is low,  if we are well and felling happy and more able to cope with life, our "life force energy is high.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
Reiki is a truly holistic therapy, working on the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit. It promotes many beneficial effects that could include relaxation and feelings of peace, inner strength, security and wellbeing
